FAQs

The things people usually ask before a first session. If yours is not here, write and ask.

Do I have to believe in it?

No. Plenty of people arrive sceptical and lie down anyway. The hour works out the same.

Will you touch me?

Lightly, and only where you have agreed beforehand. If you would rather I kept my hands above you the whole time, say so. It is a normal way to work.

What does it feel like?

Warmth, most often. Sometimes a heaviness in the arms and legs. Sometimes very little during the hour and a great deal of tiredness that evening.

What should I wear?

Whatever is comfortable to lie in for an hour. You keep everything on except your shoes.

Is this a treatment for illness?

No. Reiki sits alongside medical care and does not replace it. I will never ask you to stop anything your doctor has prescribed.

How often should I come?

Most people start with two or three sessions a fortnight apart, then settle into whatever rhythm suits them. Some come monthly. Some come once and that is enough.

What if I fall asleep?

Good. Most people do.
